Education: John holds a Bachelor of Science from Macquarie University, a Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the University of New England, a Diploma in Financial Advising (FINSIA) and a Master of Commerce from the University of New England.
Previous Experience: Prior to his role as Diocesan Business Manager (2007) for The Anglican Diocese of Newcastle, John held various senior positions in two major Australian banks. In 2008, John became the Professional Standards Director for the Diocese, and in 2009-10 added Chief Executive Officer for the Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation to his portfolio in an acting capacity. John was appointed to the role of CEO of the Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation in 2013.
For Enjoyment: In John’s spare time he enjoys a bit of sport, including rugby union, Australian rules, cricket, as well as catching up on current affairs and playing chess. John also enjoys spending time with his children, Hannah and Oliver.
Role/Responsibilities: John oversees the financial and operational functions of the Diocesan Office, as well as the Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation. He provides leadership to the Diocesan Office including the recommendation of budget priorities; the development and implementation of policies, plans and decisions of the Synod of the Diocesan Council.
Significant Achievements: John has achieved a lot in his role with the Diocese, including the growth of the Anglican Savings and Development fund from $7million to over $75million (FUM); the relocation of the Diocesan office to King Street in 2009; key involvement in the establishment of the Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation; and the development of first Professional Standards Office and full time role in the Newcastle Diocese.

Education: Linda holds a Bachelor of Economics (BEc); Justice of the Peace (JP); Cert IV Workplace and Assessment; Cert IV Frontline Management
Previous Experience: Linda came to the Anglican Diocese with 17 years of experience at the Commonwealth Bank.
For enjoyment: During Linda’s days off she enjoys spending time with her family.
Role/Responsibilities: Linda’s role sees her managing a small administration team and office. She is responsible for Synod preparation, insurance renewals, parish information and returns, clergy relocations, property and legal matters, and Diocesan Council.
Significant Achievement: In her role, Linda is striving to improve communication and support for parishes.
