Tasmanian Anglican Disaster Fund – Flood Appeal

Severe flooding and storm damage is affecting Tasmanians in many parts of the State, especially in the North and North-West.

The Anglican Diocese of Tasmania has launched an appeal to help those in greatest need with relief and recovery.

There has been tragic loss of life, damage to property and serious disruptions to livelihoods, as a result of floodwaters. The stories we are beginning to hear are heartbreaking.

Experience has shown that Government assistance and insurance payouts can go only so far in meeting the needs of those hardest hit by disastrous weather events. Our initial desire is to distribute care packages to those affected, on behalf of the local church.

All funds contributed to the Anglican Tasmanian Disaster Fund are tax deductible and will be distributed directly through Anglican parishes in the worst affected areas.
