Anglican Care Auxiliary

The Anglican Care Auxiliary held it’s 39th Annual Art and Craft Exhibition and Sale from October 7-9 at Anglican Care Village Booragul. The Hon Joel Fitzgibbon, Federal Member for the Hunter, officially opened the Exhibition on Friday October 7. Art and a wide range of craft were on display and available for purchase, with more than 100 exhibitors.


Christ Church Cathedral

The Choir of Christ Church Cathedral hosted a fundraiser trivia night on Saturday October 8. It was a fantastic night of fellowship, entertainment and intriguing facts. They successfully raised over $2400 for the music ministry at the Cathedral.


Blessing of the Animals

East Maitland

A few highlights! Saint Peter’s Church was pleased to welcome, as guest preacher for the weekend, Father Charles Tyrrell, Dean Emeritus of Nelson Cathedral in New Zealand. They also give thanks to God for the gift of love shared between Bob and Elaine Taylor who this week celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary! The parish also give thanks for the Petrus Community Church which met again in the Parish Hall for a time of fun, faith and food.


Raymond Terrace

Parish of Raymond Terrace held a Mass at the Pub on Sunday October 9 at The Junction Pub. The Mass continued the celebration of the first service by Bishop Broughton at what was then ‘The King’s Inn’.


Nelson Bay & Anna Bay

Some of the parish youth held a car wash to support a food program in Vanuatu. Plus Blokes and Bikes was held at All Saints Anna Bay on Saturday October 8 with the Longriders Bikie Club… “church was very different today”.
