100th Birthday Celebrations at Anglican Care
100th birthdays are always a special event, as a home care consumer in Taree, Ruth Rankin found out last week with her many birthday celebrations.
“A beautiful, loving, caring lady, Ruth said the secret to her longevity is staying active and involved.”
On the day of the Anglican Care celebration, Ruth’s Scottish heritage was celebrated with a rousing performance by the Wingham Pipe and Drum Band. Ruth lives at home with her daughter, Sue, and is a wonderful example of how Anglican Care can support older people to staying living at home independently with the assistance of a home care package.
Grandparents and Special Friend’s Day at BTAC
What an amazing Grandparent’s and Special Friend’s day at Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College last week.
“The assembly was unbelievable, we can not believe just how talented our students are in so many different ways. There were smiles, tears of joy and laughter everywhere throughout the day!”
Prayers and Pikelets at Lakes Grammar
Every Monday morning some of the Lake Grammar – An Anglican School school leaders get together to pray for the school – it’s called “prayer and pikelets”. This weeks prayers were written by Kindergarten who did an amazing job of writing almost 250 prayers!

Imagination Tree for Toddler Time
The Parish of Forster Tuncurry had this fantastic imagination tree and natural bench installed for the Toddler Timers by the Wallis Lake Men’s Shed this week. What a beautiful idea!

Last Friday Samaritans opened a new Shop in Boolaroo. Lake Macquarie Mayor, Cr Kay Fraser, was in attendance on the day.
