
Anita Watts
Board member
Dr Anita Watts is a Wiradjuri woman, working on Awabakal country in Newcastle as a General Practitioner in both a large mainstream urban general practice and in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector.
She is a board member of Hunter New England Central Coast Primary Health Network.
Dr Watts is a previous Council member of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Council of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and was a previous board member of the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association.
From 2005 to 2019, she was a senior lecturer at the University of Newcastle, teaching Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
She has an interest in the provision of health care to under serviced communities.
